Welcome to the Los Angeles Wi-Fi Community Network in Van Nuys…the first free Wireless Internet Access District in the City.
From here you can access information and web based services provided by City Departments at the Marvin Braude Van Nuys Constituent Service Center, general City of Los Angeles information, and events in your community. You can also use this service to access more general web-based information.
This free service is being provided as part of a pilot project to test community interest, potential wireless applications and services, technology solutions and evaluate other issues related to Wi-Fi network deployment within the City of Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Wi-Fi Community Network is a multi-agency effort developed through a partnership with the City of Los Angeles Information Technology Agency (ITA), the Public Works Deparment, Bureau of Street Lighting, and the General Services Department.
We hope you will find this service useful for accessing information and services on the web. If you have comments or questions about this service, we want to hear from you. [ITA.vannuysWIFI@lacity.org]
